What Nitro-Sift™ Is
Nitro-Sift™ is the ultracold separation process performed by the Resinator XLS Pro, a machine built to separate target materials from mixtures of materials. Whole fresh frozen cannabis is chilled inside a liquid nitrogen cooled rotary drum to between -150°F and -325°F and mechanically separated across temperature rated 400 micron screens. The valuable resin is recovered as live sift. The inert plant material is left behind.
Ultracold Separation, Not Grinding
Whole fresh frozen cannabis is 75% to 85% water by weight, and every pound of that volume costs an operator freezer space, column space, gas and labor. Nitro-Sift™ separates the resin from that volume before it ever reaches a column, so a lab runs the valuable fraction instead of the whole plant.
Biomass Reduction Before Hydrocarbon Extraction
Nitro-Sift™ live sift can be processed through any brand or style of closed loop hydrocarbon system just like standard fresh frozen, using the exact same butane or butane and propane mixes. It requires minimal changes to an existing process, and operators can run around 20 pounds per 4 foot by 6 inch column instead of 8 to 12 pounds of whole fresh frozen.

Ultracold liquid nitrogen made Nitro-Sift™ creates equivalent solventless SKUs to ice water hash faster than ever, without the plumbing, ice and water that washing normally requires. Topshelf live rosin, rosin vapes and more are possible with the XLS Pro alone.

Our published white paper ran 2,800 pounds across 4 strains in 100 pound side by side batches through the same hydrocarbon system, comparing whole fresh frozen against the same material reduced into live sift.
